booba's question:
Tell me a palace in St Petersburg worthy of a timeconsuming visit.(give a different answer) .
There's a glowing gold and white palace just 25 km outside St Petersburg that Catherine the Great erected for her son, the Pavlovsk palace. In the late 1700, duke Paul I arrived here with his grand duchess and a herd of 10 children. Used by Hitler's army as Gestapo center, the palace was reconstructed and functions as a museum with personal belongings of the duke. The setting is even better than the neo-Palladian architecture: lime-tree alleys, ponds, woods, grassy lawns.
